Application procedure

The drug Maxim is available in a ready-to-use form.
The suspension contains an adhesive, so adding additional components is not required. According to the instructions, Maxim fungicide can be diluted with water in a ratio of 1:4. The Maxim disinfectant should not be used on sprouted seeds and tubers if they have cracks or other signs of damage. Before starting work, you need to dry the planting material.

The solution is prepared in glass, plastic or enamel containers. The shelf life of the solution is one day after preparation.

Agricultural crops

The drug Maxim protects crops from fungal diseases. Before planting, prepare a solution that is used to treat the seeds before planting.

The disinfectant is effective against the following diseases:

  • fusarium;
  • root rot;
  • gray rot;
  • Alternaria blight;
  • molding of seeds;
  • downy mildew.

If you need to treat rye, wheat, soybeans or peas, according to the instructions for use, the consumption of Maxim fungicide is 10 ml per 5 liters of water. The solution consumption per 1 ton of planting material is 8 liters.

To prepare for planting sugar beets and sunflowers, 50 ml of suspension per 10 liters of water is required. For 1 ton of seeds, prepare up to 10 liters of solution.

Spraying is carried out once immediately before planting the seeds. Treating before storage of planting material is allowed.

Potato

To increase the effectiveness of the fungicide Maxim Dachnik, potato tubers are cleaned of soil. The required amount of fungicide is dissolved in water. The resulting solution is sprayed onto the tubers.

The treatment helps prevent the spread of rot during crop storage: fusarium, scab, alternaria, black knife. Add 20 ml of suspension to 1 liter of water. Before storage, use 1 liter of solution per 100 kg of potatoes, after which it is necessary to dry the tubers.

Pre-sowing treatment protects potatoes from rhizoctonia and fusarium. The solution is prepared according to the instructions for use of the Maxim fungicide: 80 ml is dissolved in 2 liters of water. The resulting solution is enough to treat 200 kg of tubers.

Flowers

The drug Maxim is used to treat bulbous and tuberous flowers: lilies, begonias, crocuses, tulips, daffodils, gladioli, hyacinths. The concentrate protects asters, irises, dahlias, and clematis from the spread of rot and wilting.

According to the instructions, the consumption of Maxim fungicide is 4 ml per 2 liters of water. The resulting solution is used to process 2 kg of planting material. The bulbs and tubers are dipped into the solution for 30 minutes, after which they are dried and planted. Treatment is also carried out in the fall to preserve planting material until spring.

Description and comparative characteristics

The main active ingredient is fludioxonil, an antifungal agent that suppresses mycelial growth by disrupting the reproduction of glucose necessary for the development and reproduction of fungal cultures. The substance is of natural origin and is a waste product of beneficial soil bacteria. Fludioxonil is a contact-penetrating antifungal drug. This means that its active effect is accompanied by penetration into the plant tissue, where it suppresses the growth of fungal infection.

The drug "Maxim" protects plants from fungal infection

Scope of application

"Maxim" is a drug against fungi and bacteria, used for:

  • pre-planting treatment of tubers;
  • seed treatment before sowing;
  • preventing mycotic rotting of roots, root crops, and flowers (gladioli, buttercups, dahlias);
  • pre-planting treatment by spraying bulbs of perennial flowers.

The difference between the drugs "Maxim" and "Maxim Dachnik"

The difference between these fungicides is that Maxim contains another antifungal substance - difenoconazole. It has the same antifungal activity (basidiomycetes, imperfect fungi, ascomycetes), but a different mechanism of action, which consists in the destruction of cell membranes of fungi.

Just like fludioxonil, it has a selective effect that does not affect beneficial bacterial cultures of the soil.

In addition, the Maxim Dachnik line of drugs includes a 4 ml release form.

Efficiency and duration of impact

The fertilizer has high protective activity against mycotic infections caused by pathogens of the family of ascomycetes, basidiomycetes and imperfect fungi. The drug is also highly active against strains of fusarium, rhizoctonia, rot and scab. If used correctly, an immunomodulation effect is observed in the treated plants. As a result, resistance to other diseases that are not covered by the fungicide increases.

Fertilizer has high protective activity

Advantages and disadvantages

The main advantages of using fungicides:

  • no danger to the beneficial microflora of the soil;
  • versatility (effective against a wide range of mycotic infections, as well as a number of other diseases);
  • works well together with other drugs and fertilizers;
  • increasing immunity in treated plants;
  • relatively low toxicity through oral and dermal contact.

Flaws:

  • harmful to most fish (when using the drug, do not allow it to penetrate into bodies of water);
  • not suitable for repeated use (fungi are able to adapt to its action, resulting in a decrease in the effectiveness of the fungicide).

Validity

The protective effect of the drug lasts up to 12 weeks. The specific time of activity of the substance depends on the type of soil and ambient temperature.

Properties and purpose of fungicide Maxim

The main active ingredient of the product is fludioxonil. This is a natural substance. It contains it in a concentration of 25 grams per liter. The drug is a contact fungicide, unique in its origin.

In practice, the product is an antibiotic secreted by soil bacteria that suppress the growth of pathogenic fungi. The fertilizer has a detrimental effect on pathogens, preserving the beneficial microflora of the soil.

The drug "Maxim" is used in the following cases:

  1. to protect potatoes from rhizoctonia, scab, rot, blackleg;
  2. for dressing planting material: tubers, bulbs, corms, seeds;
  3. to protect flower and vegetable crops from black leg, scab, rot before planting, as well as during storage;
  4. for treating plants, flower crops, in particular, tulips and gladioli, against mold pathogens, Fusarium wilt, and various types of rot;
  5. To disinfect the soil, water the planting holes and furrows with a solution of the drug.

Bottom line

Fungicide Maxim based on fludioxonil is an innovative product for protecting seed and preserving crops from various fungal infections. Tubers will not be affected by rot, scab and other diseases. Collected root vegetables will be preserved without spoilage for a long time. The drug contains in its formula an analogue of a natural fungicide substance, therefore it is safe for all types of plants and living organisms. By remaining in the soil for a long time, the fungicide blocks the development of fungal spores and does not allow the mycelium to grow.

The drug Maxim is widely used in agriculture, but Maxim Dachnik is purchased for treating a summer cottage. Convenient packaging, detailed instructions, long shelf life are the distinctive features of this form of the drug. The advantages of the fungicide Maxim Dachnik include the safety of dressing onions and garlic. In addition to protecting plants from mold and rot, the fungicide strengthens the immune status of seedlings and promotes development.

Processing of flower crops

Using the drug Maxim, you can treat the bulbs and corms of such flower crops as: tulips, begonias, lilies, gladioli, daffodils, hyacinths, etc. To do this, they must be immersed in a solution with a diluted drug and kept in it for half an hour, after which dry. The remaining solution is suitable for pickling the next batch of bulbs.

Such treatment will help protect planting material during storage and also before planting in the ground. The drug is also used to treat the roots of indoor plants when they are propagated by division. To do this, you need to spray the roots before planting.

Description of the fungicide

Fungicide Maxim is an effective means for treating seeds, tubers and bulbs by storing or planting in the ground. The drug protects garden and agricultural crops from harmful fungi.

The main active ingredient is fludioxonil, which destroys the fungus at the cellular level. As a result, plant immunity to diseases during the growing season increases.

The active substance is of natural origin. After use, the concentrate is valid for 48 days.

The disinfectant Maxim belongs to substances of hazard class 3

Take precautions when interacting with it

The drug is produced in ampoules and bottles with volumes from 2 to 100 ml. To treat large quantities of planting material, the fungicide is purchased in containers from 5 to 20 liters.

The Maxim disinfectant has the form of an odorless suspension and is easily diluted with water. Bright red pigments are added to the concentrate, which allows you to control the quality of etching.

The drug has several varieties depending on the scope of use. For personal farming, it is better to purchase the fungicide Maxim Dachnik. Farmers purchase concentrate in cans.

Reviews

Disputes about the use of the Maxim fungicide continue to persist among plant growers. Many speak of it as a preparation suitable only for treating seeds, tubers, root crops, and bulbs. Fans of tulips, hyacinths, lilies, gladioli, and dahlias strongly recommend treating planting material with the Maxim fungicide when storing them for winter storage.

Spilling soil before planting seedlings or sowing seeds also helps to improve the protection of flowers and other plants from all kinds of fungal infections.

There are also two opposing reviews. Some people say that the drug is completely unsuitable for spraying the roots and vegetative parts of plants. After all, even after such treatment, the bush or seedling ends up in contaminated soil and spraying is, at a minimum, useless. Others consider this treatment quite acceptable and effective, especially if it is combined with soil treatment.

Security measures

The drug Maxim is a chemical substance of moderate danger to humans and belongs to class 3. Does not exhibit phytotoxicity.

When using the drug, the following safety precautions must be observed:

  • Do not allow the solution to get into open water bodies, because it poses a danger to fish and drinking water sources;
  • When preparing the working solution, do not use containers in which food is prepared;
  • while processing plants, it is prohibited to drink, smoke, or eat;
  • processing should be carried out using personal protective equipment: gauze bandage or respirator, headgear, gown, rubber gloves;
  • treatment should not be carried out at close range from children or animals;
  • After completing work, thoroughly wash your face and hands with soap, rinse your mouth with clean water, and change clothes.

Precautionary measures

This disinfectant belongs to hazard class 3. To exclude the occurrence of unwanted reactions, it is necessary to comply with the dosage of the active component. Recommendations regarding the use of fungicide:

  • Use separate containers for diluting the concentrate, which must not be used for cooking in the future.
  • When carrying out treatments, use special protective equipment: rubber or household gloves, goggles, a respirator, work clothes.
  • Do not spray near animals or children.
  • Do not smoke while using the disinfectant.
  • Do not use diluted fungicide near artificial or natural water sources.
  • Upon completion of the treatments, the outer equipment should be removed and hands, nose and mouth should be washed with laundry soap.

How to use the drug Maxim

To prepare a working solution, you need to take 2 liters of water and dilute 4 ml of Maxim in it. Stir until the product is completely dissolved. When calculating the amount of consumption, you need to take into account that a liter of solution is required per kilogram of planting material.

To treat indoor ornamental plants, the ratio of water and fungicide should be no more than six drops per 200 ml of liquid. Processing is carried out only once. The treatment solution must be prepared immediately before use. The solution retains its active properties for about a day.

Flower processing

To treat flower crops, the drug must be diluted strictly according to the instructions. "Maxim" is an ideal product for treating corms and bulbs of lilies, begonias, tulips, hyacinths, and daffodils. Planting material is placed in the prepared solution and left for about 30 minutes. Then the tubers and bulbs need to be dried well at room temperature. The remaining solution can still be used; the next batch of bulbs is immersed in it.

Processing the planting material will protect it during storage and prepare it for planting in open ground. The “Maxim” product can be used when propagating plants to treat the roots of domestic flowers. The roots are sprayed before planting using a spray bottle.

Potato processing

Treating seed potatoes with Maxim is very effective; this will make it possible to protect the crop from diseases such as:

  • fusarium;
  • Phomasis;
  • wet rot.

The procedure is carried out before the potato tubers are stored. At this time, the solution is sprayed. It is prepared at the rate of 4 ml of substance per 100 ml of water. This small amount is enough to process 20 kg of potatoes.

To treat rhizoctonia and fusarium, you can use a concentrated solution: 4 ml of product per 50 ml of water. The volume of solution is intended to process ten kilograms of potatoes.

For soil dressing

The drug "Maxim" for soil treatment is diluted at the rate of 40 ml per 20-liter container of clean water. To cultivate 10 square meters of land on a plot, this volume should be enough. The spill should be maximum. After the spill has been made, the area on top is covered with black plastic film. This allows you to increase the efficiency of fertilizer use. The active components of the drug will act most effectively against pathogenic microflora.

After four days, it is necessary to remove the film cover and repopulate the soil with beneficial microflora. You can use the drugs “Baikal”, “Fitosporin”, “Trichodermin” for this. Sowing or planting is carried out ten days after all these activities have been completed.

Caution - be careful

When working with fungicides, adhere to basic safety standards:

  • do not use dishes or other food items to prepare the mixture;
  • during processing, limit the contact area: keep children and animals away;
  • use personal protective equipment in the form of glasses, a respirator, gloves and cotton clothing;
  • remember the rule of three “DO NOT”: do not eat anything, do not smoke, do not drink while processing planting material;
  • After finishing working with an unsafe substance, thoroughly wash your hands, face, and rinse your mouth.

First aid

If drug poisoning occurs, before the doctor arrives, it is necessary to provide first aid to the victim:

  • provide access to fresh air;
  • wash the areas where the drug comes into contact with the skin with plenty of running water; you can use a soap solution for the same purpose;
  • if the drug gets into your eyes, rinse them open with clean running water in sufficient quantity;
  • if the drug is swallowed, you need to take a suspension of activated carbon at the rate of 1 gram per 1 kg of body weight, washing it down with a sufficient amount of water. After this, you need to drink a saline solution, which will help provoke a gag reflex;
  • Seek advice from a specialist or poison control center as soon as possible.

Storage of the drug

It is recommended to store Maxim for three years, away from children and in a dark room with a temperature not lower than -10 degrees and not higher than +30. Naturally, food and medicine should not be nearby. Empty containers after the drug cannot be reused. It is destroyed or buried in the ground. The prepared solution can be used no later than 24 hours, otherwise its effect will be ineffective.

Today, the drug Maxim has quite a lot of reviews. People involved in growing various types of crops note its effectiveness and beneficial effects on growth, and protection against bacteria and fungi.

Composition and release form

The drug is available in 40 ml bottles and 2.4 ml ampoules.
In order to prepare the solution, the drug must be dissolved in water. The active component of the product is the natural substance fludioxonil. Its content concentration is 25 g.

The drug is unique. This is a kind of analogue of an antibiotic, which is produced by soil bacteria that destroy pathogenic fungi. Beneficial microflora is preserved, despite the fact that the drug kills pathogens.

Advantages

The popularity of the drug Maxim is explained by its following advantages:

  • ease of use;
  • the ability to carry out treatment at any time before planting crops;
  • used in conjunction with other fungicides and insecticides;
  • low consumption;
  • long period of action;
  • safety for soil microorganisms;
  • does not accumulate in fruits and tubers, does not affect their presentation and taste;
  • versatility: suitable for treating tubers and seeds of vegetable, grain and flower crops;
  • is not phytotoxic if the consumption rate is observed;
  • does not cause resistance in microorganisms.

Advantages and disadvantages

According to the instructions for use, the benefits of using the pesticide Maxim Dachanik are as follows:

  • prevents the spread of pathogens in storage facilities;
  • effective in the fight against root rot, smut, snow mold and other diseases of micellar pathogenesis;
  • increases the germination of seeds and seedlings;
  • one preparation for disinfection of many different crops;
  • advance processing possible;
  • improves productivity;
  • provides long-lasting protection (up to 6 months);
  • safe for soil microflora;
  • release form with the addition of a signal dye.

The drug Maxim Dachanik is deadly for marine and freshwater fauna. This is his minus. Therefore, crop treatment should be carried out further from reservoirs, rivers and other water sources. The treated crop cannot be used as animal feed.

Another disadvantage of the fungicide is the prohibition on re-dressing. If fungi adapt to its action, the effectiveness of the product will decrease.

Safety precautions when working with fungicide

As already mentioned, the drug “Maxim” is a drug of the third class of danger. It does not exhibit phytotoxicity, but there is a moderate danger if used incorrectly.

When using the product, the following safety precautions must be observed:

  • Treatment should not be carried out if there are animals or children nearby.
  • Be sure to carry out the treatment in special protective clothing. You need a hat, rubber gloves, a gown, a respirator or a gauze bandage.
  • It is prohibited to eat, smoke or drink during treatment.
  • The solution should not get into any open water bodies or sources of drinking water.
  • Do not use food containers to prepare a solution of the drug "Maxim".
  • After completing the work, you need to wash well with soap. You should rinse your mouth with clean water. Clothes must be removed and changed into clean ones.

What kind of miracle remedy?

The drug "Maxim" is a means for pickling a modern sample of unique origin. The spray substance is based on an active composition of natural origin. Country of origin - Switzerland, Singenta company, official distributor in Russia - Green Pharmacy Sadovoda LLC.

The drug is available in the form:

  • powder in bags;
  • suspension concentrate in ampoules;
  • solution in canisters from 1 to 5 liters.

The peculiarity of the fungicide is that it has a composition similar to the antibiotic released during the life of a soil bacterium. “Maxim,” which is similar in composition, has a lethal effect on bacteria that cause plant diseases, but does not in any way disturb the soil microflora, which is very important for the fertility and healthy growth of plants.

Fungicide "Maxim" is a contact type product. Compared to potassium permanganate, which has a short-term effect, Maxim has a long-lasting protective effect throughout the entire period of plant preservation and growth.

Interestingly, the solution also has a beneficial effect on the health of the plant itself, strengthens immune activity and stimulates growth.
